Built to meet UK building regulations

Our riser doors are manufactured in compliance with current UK building regulations, ensuring they meet stringent requirements for fire protection, acoustic performance, airtightness and smoke resistance where appropriate.

They are tested to withstand either 60 or 120 minutes of fire exposure, depending on your project’s needs.

Available sizes

Access comes in many different shapes, sizes and applications. Our riser doors are available from as small as 300x300mm up-to 2400x2500mm in single, double or multi-door applications.

Need something a little smaller? We also sell access panels which can be as small as 100x100mm. We also sell loft hatches and meter overboxes to accommodate the various types of access required in construction projects.

Frequently asked questions

They provide access for maintenance teams to vertical service risers within a building, such as plumbing, electrical or HVAC systems while maintaining fire resistance and aesthetics.

This depends on your local building regulations and the project’s requirements.

In the UK, riser doors should be fire rated if they form part of a compartment wall or are located within protected escape routes such as corridors and stairwells in multi-storey buildings.

Current UK building regulations require riser doors to have at least half of the fire rating as the wall they’re installed in, which is typically 60 to 120 minutes. Fire rated riser doors will help to prevent the spread of flames and smoke, allowing safe evacuation while protecting critical building infrastructure.

Mostly aesthetics – a concealed frame provides a seamless finish, allowing the riser to blend into the surrounding wall and preserve the interior design of the space.

Absolutely – our riser doors are widely used in schools, hospitals and high-rise buildings. Check our our case studies to learn more.

We offer lead times from just 4-7 days.

We can provide various locking mechanisms depending on the environment and security requirements of your project. Common options include budget locks, square key locks, tamper-proof locks and euro-profile locks.

Riser doors are generally larger, designed to provide full access to vertical service risers found in high-rise buildings. Access panels generally provide localised access to plumbing, wiring or ducting and can also be installed in ceilings.
