Picture Frame Detail

A 25mm picture frame surrounds the loft hatch

0.760 W/m2k U Value

Insulated with a 50mm thick Polystyrene Insulation Infill

Fitting Instructions

  • Cut a hole in the ceiling ensuring the aperture is 7mm larger than the loft hatch size
  • Open the door and remove it from the frame
  • Place the frame into the aperture and fix into place using the appropriate fixing holes
  • Ensure the frame is pushed up against the structural opening surround, and check the frame is square by measuring corner to corner
  • Refit the door and lock into place
  • Independent bracing or support may be required to take the weight of the loft hatch
